Gather 'Round

Wed Nov 4, 2009, 1:11 PM
  • Mood: Stumped
  • Listening to: Human After All- Daft Punk
  • Reading: your thoughts
  • Watching: my life flash before my eyes
  • Playing: with thoughts about what will happen
  • Eating: my words
  • Drinking: in the moment
Now, you see my children
I-
have a confession to make. I'm stuck in a blue period
my blue period is drugs
can't avoid it
can't deny it
a great deal of work I'm producing is drug-related
forgive me
when I find something more inspiring
I will most certainly throw it a bone

Till then
my apologies
thanks =]

Show Me Where Forever [Dies]
:iconslippinghalo:
Hey, a lot of my recent submissions are 100-word pieces I've been doing with a group of former classmates through e-mail. You should check those out and see if you can start your own.

The rules are basically this: 7 people each pick a day of the week. The first person writes a piece of exactly 100 words on their specified day. The second person is to take a word, phrase, or some other general cue from the preceding piece and create their own.

This goes on endlessly for a few weeks, and then if you like you can rearrange the days so people are in a different order and you don't fall into patterns. You should try it!

Also, I'm in a writer's forum that partners people up and they work on pieces via e-mail over the course of a month (roughly), then at the end of the month they post their pieces in the forum and receive further feedback from the entire group. If you'd be interested in joining I can ask the girl running it if that's possible.

What do you think?

:iconmasked-lemon:
that all sounds superb, especially the writer's forum
I don't have a huge writing community around me, especially since the block, but the forum sounds like something I can definitely do. I can try the email system when I get to college
but yes, if you want to try and hook me up with that forum, that would be fantastic

I would love the fellowship and feedback

I'll see what I can do. What's your e-mail, so I can get you two in touch?
